We create art from wood that goes beyond the artistic surface. We try to unlock the mystery of the wood, hidden from the layers above, letting it tell us where it wants to go and what it wants to be. 

Whether it is something simple such as a wine stopper or as complex as a multi-dimensional turned segmented vase, we engineer our pieces to be stable, well built, and as functional as the artistic piece allows. 

We have a small shop yet have the ability to start with an entire tree; mill it to the rough shape and to the dimensions we need. We then dry it until it is stable and finally ready for work.  For burls, colorful select, and  highly figured wood, this is our preferred approach.  For exotic wood, which is not found locally, or wood which must be preprocessed, we then order it directly from a supplier or mill.

We welcome special one off consignment work and also have a number of more standard items we make as the wood itself dictates.
